Is Motivation Holding You Back!?

I don't know how many times I've heard people say that they're lacking motivation. That they could never train on their own or that they're just not "motivated" enough to make healthy changes.

Well If you're constantly waiting to feel motivated you might as well surrender and hang up your training shoes and tank top right now ha-ha.

The fact is NO ONE feels motivated all the time. NO ONE!

People think I'm always motivated because I train consistently. Garbage! I can couch potato with the best of them and it's definitely not always easy to train by myself. Especially after a long day when I've been up since 4am!

Here's the thing...the difference between people who exercise regularly and practice healthy habits and those that don't is simple, they PRIORITISE it.

It's not because they're always motivated. Motivation is a bullshit thing that people say they NEED, to procrastinate about actually doing the thing they know they need to.

Do you think the average athletic, fit or healthy man or woman walking around doesn't have other shit going on in their life that takes away their motivation?

Of course they do!

So stop wondering how you're going to get motivated and just start doing stuff. The kind of stuff that gets you closer to your goals, closer to where you want to be and then keep doing it.

Just start small, even with 10-20 minutes every second day and build from there.

That could be as simple as going for a walk/jog for 20 minutes.

Maybe it's committing to training 3 days a week.

Maybe you limit drinking alcohol to weekends only.

Maybe it's meditating for 5-10 mins a day.

Whatever it is you decide to do, ACTION is the only way to generate motivation.

Momentum will happen and your motivation will grow as you start to see the physical and mental results of your actions.

So stop procrastinating. Stop looking for some magical form of motivation. Don't wait any longer and just get started.

It's easy for things to spiral out of control when you keep procrastinating.

Momentum works both ways.

If you need any help, let me know.

Much Love,

D.K. ✌🏼
